Updates and Praises

• We are so grateful for another fruitful month. The kids continue to dedicate themselves to their studies. They are making good grades and growing in their Self-confidence.

• At the beginning of the month, we had our first young boys only field trip. Jeff had brought the teen boys to a turf soccer field to play before, and the younger kids were pretty jealous. So we told them if they have good behavior, bring their backpacks / do their homework each day, and listen well during bible time, they too can win this field trip. We saw such improvement that they fully earned it. We have never seen them so excited for a soccer day, and the fact that the whole place was just for them!

• In knitting class, the kids picked out and made a fun key chain of their choice (stitch, groot, Spider-Man, etc.). We really got to see their creativity and imagination shine!

• In sewing class, they are making their very own shorts!

• This month was also our quarterly birthday party. We celebrated 17 birthday boys and girls (January through April)! Each child received their very own birthday cake, but instead of watching a movie, a group of young adults from ACYM - LARCO church organized & did the party. They had music, games, prizes, puppets, etc.! It was a lot of fun and a great way to connect with the local church.

• Director Chloe updated each Child's interview for this school year and traveled to the USA to do a fundraising event for MANA and all of Inca Link Peru, which went really well!

How can you pray for us?

• Please pray for the 17 children/teenagers who are part of MANÁ and who still need sponsors (http://www.incalinkmana.org/sponsorship-program). 

• Pray for us to find more volunteers and workers for MANÁ (specifically, teachers and a psychologist).

• Pray for our cook and our cleaning lady, who are both pregnant.

• Pray for the upcoming Construction in MANA that is needed for our building license.

Actualizaciones y Alabanzas a Dios:

• Estamos muy agradecidos por otro mes fructífero. Los niños siguen dedicándose a sus estudios. Sacan buenas notas y su autoestima crece.

• A principios de mes, tuvimos nuestra primera excursión solo para los niños chicos. Jeff había llevado a los adolescentes chicos a jugar a un campo de fútbol de césped artificial, y los más pequeños estaban muy celosos. Así que les dijimos que si se portaban bien, traían sus mochilas, hacían sus tareas todos los días y escuchaban atentamente durante la hora de la Biblia, ellos también podían ganar este paseo. Vimos una mejora tan grande que se la merecían. ¡Nunca los habíamos visto tan emocionados por un día de fútbol, ​​y el hecho de que todo el lugar fuera solo para ellos!

• En la clase de tejido, los niños eligieron y hicieron un llavero divertido a su gusto (stitch, groot, Spider-Man, etc.). ¡Pudimos ver brillar su creatividad e imaginación!

• ¡En la clase de costura están haciendo sus propios pantalones cortos!

• Este mes también fue nuestra fiesta de cumpleaños trimestral. ¡Celebramos a los 17 cumpleañeros (de enero a abril)! Cada niño recibió su propio pastel de cumpleaños, pero en lugar de ver una película, un grupo de jóvenes adultos de la iglesia ACYM - LARCO organizó la fiesta. ¡Tuvieron música, juegos, premios, títeres, etc.! Fue muy divertido y una excelente manera de conectar con la iglesia local.

• La directora Chloe actualizó la entrevista de cada niño para este año escolar y viajó a los EE. UU. para realizar un evento de recaudación de fondos para MANA y todo Inca Link Perú, ¡que salió muy bien!

• Oremos por más voluntarios y trabajadores para MANÁ (específicamente maestros y un psicólogo).

• Oremos por nuestra cocinera y nuestra trabadora de limpieza que están embarazadas.

• Oremos por la construcción por venir en MANA que es necesaria para nuestra licencia de edificio.
