Updates and Praises

• We continue to provide daily homework help and are seeing significant progress. We pray that the kids will finish this first quarter well, which comes to an end next month.

• MANA had our work team meeting at the beginning of the month and are thankful to say that our cook had her beautiful baby girl. And we were able to find a temporary replacement for her and our cleaning lady, who is also on maternity leave.

• We are also so grateful because we finally found an employee to help the kids and directors: Jeff and Chloe with the homework help program. Her name is Gigi and she is a Christian and also a volunteer with Inca Link's ministry, Amijai. We praise God for responding to our prayers.

• Praise God because we had a fantastic Mother's Day event! We decorated MANA to have a beautiful dinner party for just the moms. We had over 30 come and we played games, gave out prizes and clothes donations. The moms enjoyed their dinner and devotional. We are grateful for the opportunity to encourage them with the word of God. They ended the evening making personalized leather earrings and bringing home the pop-up picture Mother's Day cards the kids made for them.

• In our sewing workshop, the kids finished making their own shorts and just started making t-shirts for the first time.

• MANÁ also had a generous clothing donation from a Christian missionary family living and serving here in Peru. We were able to send each child home with multiple clothing items. We are grateful that this donation was just in time for the cold weather.

• The kids had extra time to connect and play last week since they were off of school. And they were also able to decorate their new prayer and mental health journals, which we'll start using next month.

• Lastly, we had 3 new interns arrive this week and are excited to see what the Lord has in store for their couple of months in Peru!

How can you pray for us?

• Please pray for the 17 children/teenagers who are part of MANÁ and who still need sponsors (http://www.incalinkmana.org/sponsorship-program). 

• Pray the Construction in MANA that is needed for our building license. We're excited to say we finished painting the prayer room, and we will soon receive the finished official building plans.

Actualizaciones y Alabanzas a Dios:

• Seguimos ofreciendo ayuda diaria con las tareas y estamos viendo un progreso significativo. Oramos para que los niños terminen bien este primer trimestre, que termina el próximo mes.

• Tuvimos nuestra reunión de equipo de trabajo a principios de mes y nos alegra decir que nuestra cocinera tuvo a su hermosa bebé. Además, pudimos encontrar una sustituta temporal para ella y para nuestra señora de la limpieza, que también está afuera en descanso por maternidad.

• También estamos muy agradecidos porque finalmente encontramos un empleado para ayudar a los niños y a los directores: Jeff y Chloe, con el programa de ayuda con las tareas. Se llama Gigi, es cristiana y también es voluntaria en Amijai, el ministerio de Inca Link. Alabamos a Dios por responder a nuestras oraciones.

• ¡Gracias a Dios porque tuvimos un fantástico evento del Día de las Madres! Decoramos MANA para una hermosa cena solo para las mamás. Asistieron más de 30 madres y jugamos juegos, repartimos premios y ropa. Las mamás disfrutaron de la cena y el devocional. Agradecemos la oportunidad de animarlas con la palabra de Dios. Terminaron la noche haciendo aretes de cuero personalizados y trayendo a casa las cartas de fotos 3D que los niños les hicieron por Día de las Madres.

• En nuestro taller de costura, los niños terminaron de hacer sus propios pantalones cortos y comenzaron a hacer camisetas/polos por primera vez.

• MANA también recibió una generosa donación de ropa de una familia cristiana y misionera que vive y sirve aquí en Perú. Logramos enviar a cada niño a casa con varias prendas. Agradecemos a Dios por esta donación justo a tiempo para el frío.

• Los niños tuvieron tiempo extra para conectar y jugar la semana pasada, ya que no tuvieron clases. Y también pudieron decorar sus nuevos diarios de oración y salud mental que empezaremos a usar el mes que viene.

• Por último, esta semana llegaron tres nuevos pasantes y estamos emocionados por ver lo que el Señor tiene preparado para sus dos meses en Perú.

• Oremos por los 17 niños/adolescentes que forman parte de MANÁ y que todavía necesitan patrocinadores (http://www.incalinkmana.org/sponsorship-program).

• Oremos por la construcción en MANA que es necesaria para nuestra licencia de edificio. Nos complace anunciar que terminamos de pintar la sala de oración y pronto recibiremos los planos oficiales del todo el edificio del MANA.

• Oremos por nuestro evento del día de el Padre y los chicos que viene.

• Oremos por nuestra temporada de equipo a corto plazo globales que comienza el próximo mes!
