Updates and Praises:
Praise God: Thank you so much for generously donating to Carlo and his sister's new home. We are happy to share that we not only raised the remaining funds needed to rebuild Carlo's home, but we also completed construction this month. Carlos is a young man who has grown up in MANA; he came to us struggling and asking for prayer and guidance. Carlo's father was never in the picture and his mother and grandmother died in a car accident and the one room him and his older sister was sharing was in unlivable conditions. Nor did they have a kitchen, a bathroom, nor running water. He had just graduated high school and desired to go to University and make a better future for him and his sister, but didn't have anyway to pay for it and didn't know if he should just start working full-time because he also wanted to help his older sister out more. We prayed together and asked the Lord to provide. Thanks to his sponsors and other donors, Carlos just finished his first semester in University studying Sports Science and is loving it; and they went from their one room space to now two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, and a working bathroom. You can see the final construction result in the video and pictures below. We are now working on the furniture part, but we wanted to give an update. Carlos and his sister have been blown away by the hand of God and the way He has blessed them. A special thanks to the donors who made it possible as well. May God bless you!
We held our quarterly birthday party, to celebrate 20 kiddos in our program who had birthdays. Each person got their own cake, and we all enjoyed a movie with popcorn together.
We also celebrated Children's Day with an event specially decorated for them, with small gift boxes for each child. We thank God for these children and for the joy they bring to our lives.
The crochet students continue creating new projects and becoming more independent in their creations and sales. We are happy to say that Sewing workshop is starting up again this month after a month of rest.
We are grateful for this month full of visits—from our intern Sahara to local church volunteers and international groups on mission trips. We had more than 40 believers serve alongside us this month alone. We were blessed to have so many people intentionally play with them, help them with their homework, teach the Word of God, and share Jesus' love with them!
We thank God as we continue to see our prayers for support be answered by the international and local church (ACYM LARCO). We are thankful that more sponsors have signed up, allowing us to continue welcoming more children to MANA. The local church prayed for the ministry and the University students this past Sunday, and we received several volunteers and donations this month (including toys, clothes, shoes, and even a fridge).
The students continue to work hard during our daily homework help time in MANA. We have seen great improvements in their grades and efforts. However, pray that this motivation continues as these next couple of months are usually when they start to relax and burn-out, as the school year comes to an end (December) and there aren't many more breaks.

Pray as Jeff is currently in the process of applying for a U.S. visitor visa. We pray if it is God's plan and timing that it will go through in time for my (Chloe's) trip in October (next month) to attend my sister's wedding, share with our supporters and churches, and to raise more financial support for us and the University students.
Pray for energy and endurance for our team, as the last couple of months have been super full, with very little time to rest and finish everything we need to do.
Pray for our intern Sahara, as she heads to Costa Rica next week to continue serving God with Inca Link. And for Hannah, a former intern, who will be visiting us and the kiddos again.

Actualizaciones y Alabanzas a Dios:
¡Alabado sea Dios! No solo logramos recaudar los fondos restantes para reconstruir la casa de Carlos, sino que también completamos la obra este mes. Carlos es un joven que creció en MANA; llegó a nosotros atravesando dificultades y buscando oración y orientación. Su padre estuvo ausente, su madre y su abuela fallecieron en un accidente automovilístico, y la única habitación que compartía con su hermana mayor se encontraba en condiciones inhabitables; carecía de cocina, baño y agua corriente. Acababa de terminar la secundaria y deseaba ir a la universidad para construir un futuro mejor para él y su hermana, pero no tenía cómo costearlo y dudaba si debía empezar a trabajar a tiempo completo, ya que también quería ayudar más a su hermana. Oramos juntos y pedimos al Señor que proveyera. Gracias a sus patrocinadores y a otros donantes, Carlos acaba de terminar su primer semestre de Ciencias del Deporte y está encantado con la carrera; además, pasaron de vivir en una sola habitación a tener ahora dos habitaciones, una sala, una cocina y un baño funcional. Pueden ver el resultado final de la construcción en el video y en las fotos que aparecen a continuación. Actualmente estamos trabajando en la parte de muebles, pero queríamos compartir estas novedades. Carlos y su hermana están maravillados por la mano de Dios y por la forma en que Él los ha bendecido. Un agradecimiento especial también a los donantes que lo hicieron posible.

Tuvimos nuestra fiesta trimestral de cumpleaños para celebrar a los 20 cumpleañeros de nuestro programa. Cada uno recibió su propia torta de cumpleaños y todos disfrutamos juntos de una película con canchita de maíz.
También, celebramos el Día del Niño con un evento especialmente decorado para ellos, con pequeñas cajas de regalo para cada niño. Damos gracias a Dios por estos niños y por la alegría que traen a nuestras vidas.
Los estudiantes de tejido siguen creando nuevos proyectos y ganando autonomía en sus creaciones y en sus ventas. Nos complace anunciar que este mes se reanuda el taller de costura, tras un mes de descanso.
Estamos agradecidos por este mes lleno de visitas: desde nuestra pasante Sahara hasta voluntarios de iglesias locales y de grupos internacionales en viajes misioneros. Solo este mes, más de 40 creyentes sirvieron junto a nosotros. ¡Fue una bendición contar con tantas personas que dedicaron tiempo a jugar con ellos, a ayudarles con sus tareas, a enseñarles la Palabra de Dios y a compartir con ellos el amor de Jesús!
Damos gracias a Dios al ver cómo la iglesia internacional y la local (ACYM LARCO) siguen respondiendo a nuestras oraciones de apoyo. Agradecemos que se hayan sumado más patrocinadores, lo que nos permite seguir acogiendo a más niños en MANA. La iglesia local oró por el ministerio y por los estudiantes universitarios el domingo pasado, y este mes hemos recibido a varios voluntarios y diversas donaciones (incluidos juguetes, ropa, zapatos e incluso un refrigerador).
Los estudiantes siguen esforzándose mucho durante nuestro tiempo diario de ayuda con las tareas en MANA. Hemos observado una gran mejoría en sus calificaciones y en su dedicación. Sin embargo, les pedimos que oren para que esta motivación perdure, ya que en los próximos meses es habitual que empiecen a relajarse y a sentir agotamiento, pues el año escolar llega a su fin (en diciembre) y ya no quedan muchas vacaciones.

Por favor, oren por Jeff, quien actualmente está tramitando una visa de visitante para los Estados Unidos. Oramos para que, si está dentro de los planes y el tiempo de Dios, el trámite se complete a tiempo para mi viaje (Chloe) en octubre (el próximo mes); el objetivo es asistir a la boda de mi hermana, compartir con nuestros patrocinadores/donantes e iglesias, y recaudar más apoyo económico para nosotros y para los estudiantes universitarios.
Oren para que nuestro equipo tenga energía y resistencia, ya que los últimos meses han sido sumamente intensos, con muy poco tiempo para descansar y terminar todo lo que debemos hacer.
Orén por nuestra pasante Sahara, quien viajará a Costa Rica la próxima semana para seguir sirviendo a Dios con Inca Link. Y también por Hannah, una pasante pasada, que vendrá a visitarnos a nosotros y a los niños nuevamente.
