Updates and Praises:
- We praise God for such an incredible month! June was full of such sweet memories.
- In addition to our normal program of homework help, workshops and devotionals, we had 3 events, a short-term team and more interns arrive.
- We praise God because most of the children are finishing the first semester of school very well. We have seen great consistency (Monday through Friday) of 52 of the children bringing in their homework every day. We are very proud of them.
- In our sewing workshop, the kids and mothers are working on making cute tote bags with many pockets.
- In knitting, they are finishing their individually chosen projects (bunnies, scarves, blouses, etc.)
- In this month's bakery class, we learned how to make cinnamon rolls and banana bread together.
- Father's Day can be a challenging day for most of our kiddos. Knowing this, we invited not just the few fathers, but all the boys of the ministry to a night of burgers and soccer (: Although there are only 6 of our 55 children who have a father figures in the home, we could not be more grateful for the 4 fathers who were able to come and hear the gospel and have a fun time playing soccer and feel celebrated. But it was also such a special time to have all the boys all together, especially those who usually spend this day sad and alone. A lot of our boys invited their friends from the neighborhood who also didn't have a father around for the soccer game and we were able to meet and share God's love with around 20 other teenagers of our community that aren't a part of MANA.
- We also had a Girls' only Saturday morning that was a very sweet time to strengthen friendships and fellowship during the hard Father's day weekend. We painted our nails, played cards, made personalized keychains, and had a picnic together. And wow, 25 of our teenage girls were able to come!
- We were also able to take the children to the Incalink campsite for two afternoons to enjoy the Bible program that Princeton Alliance Church from the USA brought. They listened to Bible lessons, made cool crafts, and played games together.
-We said goodbye and celebrated our incredible intern Hannah, who was with us for 3 months. We are very grateful for her service and are going to miss her dearly!
-We are excited to see what God does through Elizabeth, our intern who arrived last month and decided to extend her stay for another month. 😁
-Finally, we welcome another intern, Jessica, who will be with us for 2 months!
How to pray for us?
-We have another intern arriving next month, as well as several short-term teams from the US and Canada. May God be glorified through this time and their service.
