Updates and Praises

• The first week of August, the kids were still on Vacation break from school and we had a church mission team come from the United States that did a 4 day camp with the other Inca Link Perú ministries. There were Basketball and Bible lessons, games and crafts. It was fun to come all together to serve the kids and glorify God.

• The second week, the kids went back to school and we went back to our normal daily homework schedule and also had a church from Canada come and share with our teens and kids.

• We had the city’s government come and support MANÁ through a medical and social aid event for the kids and their families. They received free haircuts, dental care, medical checks up, mental health and physical therapy, etc. It blessed our community greatly.

• MANÁ celebrated children’s day through a pizza movie and bingo event with lots of books and prizes! 

• In our care journal time with the teens, we practiced praying and journaling through the Scriptures, specifically the Psalms.

• All the Directors of the different Incalink Perú ministries (including Jeff and Chloe), had the opportunity to go to a Serving the Vulnerable Training Conference in Guatemala. Sessions on trauma, behavior, physical violence, learning and understanding etc.

• Finally, we had our Quarterly birthday party. We celebrated 17 birthday boys and girls with the help of young adult Christians from our local Church! What’s a better gift than cake, playing with your friends, and the Good News? 

How can you pray for us?

• And we praise God we had 7 more kids picked for sponsorship this month, allowing us to start slowly letting in kids on our waiting list.  

• Let’s pray for the 4 children/adolescents who are part of MANÁ and who still need sponsorships and all those on the waiting list slowly entering as e fin more sponsors. (http://www.incalinkmana.org/sponsorship-program).

• We thanked and celebrated Claudia, our little kids teacher, for her years of service in MANÁ and as she is moving on to another job God has in store for her. We will miss her greatly. Please pray as we are now in need of a little kids teacher, especially if we are to take in more kids from our waiting list.

• We have 8 students graduating in December. Please pray as the students work to finish strong, for their big college entry tests, for clarity in what they want to study, and for MANÁ directors, as we work to find scholarships options or possibly create a sponsorship program for our students desiring to study in college.

MANÁ AGOSTO '25 (Español)

Actualizaciones y Alabanzas a Dios:

• La primera semana de agosto, los niños aún estaban de vacaciones escolares y un equipo misionero de los Estados Unidos, realizó un campamento de cuatro días con los demás ministerios de Inca Link Perú. Hubo clases de baloncesto y Biblia, juegos y manualidades. Fue muy divertido reunirnos para servir a los niños y glorificar a Dios.

• La segunda semana, los niños volvieron a la escuela y volvimos a nuestro horario normal de tareas, pero también tuvimos una iglesia de Canadá que vino a compartir con los adolescentes y niños.

• Tuvimos el gobierno municipal vino a apoyar a MANÁ con una campaña médica y social para los niños y sus familias. Recibieron cortes de pelo gratuitos, atención dental, chequeos médicos, salud mental y fisioterapia, etc. Esto benefició enormemente a toda nuestra comunidad.

• ¡MANÁ celebró el día del niño con una fiesta de película, pizza, y bingo con muchos libros y premios!

• En nuestro tiempo de cuaderno de cuidado con los adolescentes, practicamos la oración y escribiendo a través de las Escrituras, específicamente los Salmos.

• Todos los directores de los diferentes ministerios de Incalink Perú (incluyendo a Jeff y Chloe) tuvieron la oportunidad de asistir a una Cumbre en Guatemala - Capacitación sobre el Servicio a la Población Vulnerable. Había clases sobre trauma, comportamiento, violencia física, aprendizaje y comprensión, etc.

• Finalmente, celebramos nuestra fiesta de cumpleaños trimestral. ¡Celebramos a 17 cumpleañeros con la ayuda de jóvenes cristianos de nuestra iglesia local! ¿Qué mejor regalo que un pastel, jugar con tus amigos y las Buenas Nuevas? 

¿Cómo puedes orar por nosotros?

• Y alabamos a Dios porque 7 niños más fueron elegidos para patrocinio este mes, lo que nos permitió comenzar lentamente a admitir niños en nuestra lista de espera.

• Oremos por los 4 niños/adolescentes que forman parte de MANÁ y que aún necesitan apadrinamiento, y por todos los que están en la lista de espera que poco a poco van entrando a medida que encontramos más patrocinadores. (http://www.incalinkmana.org/sponsorship-program).

• Agradecemos y celebramos a hermana Claudia, nuestra maestra de niños pequeños, por sus años de servicio en MANÁ. Ahora que está a punto de empezar otro trabajo, Dios le tiene reservado. La extrañaremos mucho. Por favor, oren, ya que necesitamos una maestra de niños pequeños, especialmente si queremos aceptar a más niños de nuestra lista de espera.

• Tenemos 8 estudiantes que se gradúan en diciembre. Les pedimos que oren mientras se esfuerzan por terminar con éxito, por sus importantes exámenes de entrada a la universidad, por claridad sobre lo que desean estudiar, y por los directores de MANÁ, mientras trabajamos para encontrar opciones de becas o posiblemente crear un programa de patrocinio para nuestros estudiantes que desean estudiar en la universidad.
