Updates and Praises

• January is the start of summer vacation here in Peru! During this time, we are thankful to all have a break from homework and to have more time to focus on creative activities, fellowship, spiritual growth, and creating good core memories together.

• Inca Link (and sponsors) are helping 7 MANÁ students with University Scholarships! This is truly life-changing for these students and their families, as the average education level in their families is usually only up to elementary school. We have been busy this month getting them enrolled. These same students are transitioning as leaders in the ministry and are helping lead workshops and small groups.

• This summer we are offering 8 different workshops at MANÁ: Crafts, Sewing, Knitting, Makeup and Hair, Cooking, Baking, Bracelet Making, and Traditional Peruvian Dance.

• In Crafts, we made hand-drawn keychains and mini ceramic plates.

• In cooking class, the students made chicken parmesan spaghetti, and in baking class, we made apple bread.

• In Devotional time, we talked about good influences, friendship, and how to walk with Jesus and set good goals and place them in his hands.

• The students made vision board and set their goals for 2026 and we shared and prayed for each other in our small groups.

• We have a new intern who just arrived last week and will be living with us (Jeff and Chloe) and serving with the minstries all this summer.

• We also had our first fieldtrip of the year. We took teenagers and the intern to hike a nearby sand mountain and do sandboarding.

How can you pray for us?

• Pray for our University students who are taking their entry exam this coming week and that they continue to grow in their faith and leadership.

• Pray as we continue making construtional changes to finally get our building licences within the next two months.

• The Director of MANA, Jeff, was elected as Vice President of Inca Link Peru! We praise God for the trust and pray for wisdom.

MANÁ ENERO '26 (Español)

Actualizaciones y Alabanzas a Dios:

• ¡Enero marca el comienzo de las vacaciones de verano aquí en Perú! Durante este tiempo, agradecemos que todos tengan un descanso de las tareas y más tiempo para dedicarnos a actividades creativas, a la unidad, al crecimiento espiritual y a la creación de buenos recuerdos juntos.

• Inca Link (y nuestros patrocinadores) están ayudando a 7 estudiantes de MANÁ con becas universitarias. Esto realmente les cambia la vida a estos estudiantes y a sus familias, ya que el nivel educativo promedio en sus familias suele ser solo hasta la primaria. Este mes hemos estado ocupados matriculándolos. Estos mismos estudiantes están en transición como líderes en el ministerio y ayudan a dirigir talleres y grupos pequeños.

• Este verano ofrecemos 8 talleres diferentes en MANÁ: Manualidades, Costura, Tejido, Maquillaje y Peinado, Cocina, Repostería, Pulseras y Contradanza.

• En Manualidades, hicimos llaveros dibujados a mano y mini platos de cerámica.

• En la clase de cocina, los estudiantes prepararon espaguetis con pollo a la parmesana, y en la clase de repostería, pan de manzana.

• En el tiempo devocional, hablamos sobre las buenas influencias, la amistad y cómo caminar con Jesús, establecer buenas metas y ponerlas en sus manos.

• Los estudiantes crearon un tablero de visión y establecieron sus metas para 2026. Compartimos y oramos unos por otros en nuestros grupos pequeños.

• Tenemos una nueva interina que llegó la semana pasada y vivirá con nosotros (Jeff y Chloe) y servirá en los ministerios durante todo el verano.

• También tuvimos nuestra primera excursión del año. Llevamos a los adolescentes y al interina a escalar una montaña de arena cercana y a hacer sandboarding.

¿Cómo puedes orar por nosotros?

• Oremos por nuestros estudiantes universitarios que rendirán su examen de ingreso la próxima semana y para que sigan creciendo en su fe y liderazgo.

• Oremos mientras continuamos realizando cambios en la construcción para obtener finalmente nuestra licencia de funcionamiento en los próximos dos meses

• ¡El director de MANA, Jeff, fue elegido vicepresidente de Inca Link Perú! Alabamos a Dios por la confianza y oramos por sabiduría.

• Oren por Carlos, estudiante de último año de secundaria, ya que todavía estamos recaudando fondos para él y su hermana para la reparación de su casa.
